Webinar: Fundamentals of ESD Protection

Webinar: Fundamentals of ESD Protection

Delve into the essentials of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection in electronic designs. This introductory session will cover industry ESD standards and testing methods, providing a solid foundation for understanding ESD protection.

We will explore the Transmission Line Pulse (TLP) characterization method and its practical applications, examine various ESD protection technologies along with their characteristic behaviors, and highlight key datasheet parameters and their importance. The session will wrap up with valuable tips on layout and routing for PCB designs to enhance ESD protection.

Additionally, stay tuned for two more webinars later this year, where we will dive deeper into Ethernet for automotive ESD protection and the latest Flip-Chip package technology.

Key learnings

  • Understand the differences and ensure compliance of ESD standards
  • Explore various ESD testing methods
  • Discover the practical benefits of TLP characterization
  • Learn about typical characteristics of protection technologies
  • Master the interpretation of key specs in datasheets
  • Get PCB layout tips for optimized ESD protection and signal integrity
