Enabling the Enabler: Power Devices and Topologies for Modern BBUs
BBUs are becoming a key element of modern AI and hyperscale datacenter power architectures, enabling resilient operation by providing localized backup energy close to the load. As systems evolve from established 48 V infrastructures toward emerging 800 V architectures, designers must address challenges including bidirectional power flow, wide battery voltage ranges, isolation requirements and power density. Learn how silicon MOSFETs, SiC and GaN technologies enable efficient backup power architectures that keep critical workloads operating through disturbances and outages.
